What a weird world where we choose studies in one field, sometimes for the rest of our lives! Some few people are exceptional at one thing; I don't think this is how most people work. We are too interesting to limit ourselves like this.
I'm a twice failed dropout—I quit degrees, and then went back to complete them. I chose fields I really liked, not loved. Education is an investment: you're putting money and time into something that may or may not benefit you in the future.
